Xero just launched a connected app for Google Gemini, letting business owners ask plain-language questions about their P&L, cash position and overdue invoices straight from a Gemini chat — no logging into Xero required. It’s a neat convenience, but it doesn’t replace the conversation with your bookkeeper — it just means the “what’s my cash position?” question gets answered faster, so we can spend more time on the “what should I do about it?” question. That’s still very much a human job.
