AI is starting to read the fine print so accountants don't have to

Australian platform Elfworks has launched a feature that automatically cross-checks incoming ATO rulings and legislative changes against a firm's own client base — turning a flood of regulatory updates into a targeted "who's actually affected" action list, complete with CPD credit. It's a good snapshot of where AI in bookkeeping and accounting is heading: less time chasing compliance noise, more time on advice that actually helps clients. We're keeping an eye on tools like this as we look for smarter ways to serve ours.
