AI can now watch your BAS all quarter long — but should it fly solo

MYOB just expanded its AI BAS beta to businesses with 1–19 employees, putting real-time GST checks, PAYG tracking and missing-documentation alerts in front of roughly 920,000 more Aussie small businesses. It turns BAS prep from a stressful once-a-quarter scramble into an ongoing, visible process — but automated categorisation still misses things a trained eye won't. That's exactly where a good bookkeeper earns their keep.
